は vs が (Topic vs Subject)
は (wa) marks the topic (what we are talking about).
が (ga) marks the subject (who/what is doing the action or is the focus of a question).
で vs に (Location)
で (de) marks the location where an action takes place (e.g., eating at a restaurant).
に (ni) marks the location of existence (e.g., a cat is in the room) or the destination of movement.
